Community Outreach for Jamestown and Fentress County

Handfuls of the Harvest Mission, a Christian non-profit organization located across the street from the Fentress County Library in Jamestown, TN, is dedicated to Community Outreach. Our motto is “Serving Him Through Serving Others.” Our phone number is (931)-752-8988.

We are currently offering full meals from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and are asking for $10 donations. Guests can choose to either dine in our spacious dining room or carry-out. The menus for each day can be found at our chef’s facebook page.

Commenting on this new meal addition Executive Director Sam Wood said, “We are doing this on a trial basis for three months. The board of directors decided this might be a way to raise some extra money to help buy the groceries and pay our cook. We only pay one employee, but I enjoy helping people and this is one way that we could minister in Jesus’s name to our community.”

Evening meals are provided on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at no charge.

Our community outreach also includes a Thrift Store, which features a variety of furniture items. The store is open Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you have furniture or household items you would like to donate, feel free to contact us at (931)-752-8988.

A lift chair, (pictured below), in very good condition, was recently donated to the Mission. The cost of a new one is roughly $750. The chair is on sale in the home furnishing department of the Thrift Store for only $150.
